Over 18?

If you're over 18 and want to get involved in scouting you have 3 choices in Exeter:

Become a leader/section helper!

There are are around 15 scout groups in Exeter each with at least one section (beavers, cubs and scouts), most if not all are always excited for new adults to come forward. All scouting in the UK is volunteer run, we need YOUR help! If you would like to discus volunteering with us or any other group please get in contact info@exeterairscouts.org.uk!

Join the Active Support!

Scout active supports are a less formal volunteering option. In Exeter we have one main active support which encompasses an activity group who run weekly meetings for members to get involved and do scouting without youth members. Three of our scout leadership team are active members involved in the weekly activity unit, Exe Scout Active Support are always welcoming to any new member, please contact us to find out more - ExeSAS@exeterairscouts.org.uk

The unit meet across the city (and beyond) doing a range of activities and camps.

Aged 18 - 25, join Scout Network.

Scout Network is the activity section for young people aged 18-25, currently 5 of the leaders at the 3rd are all members of the Devon Scout Network, and are active in the Exeter node.

As with all the other activity sections there is the opportunity to gain both the scout awards, including the Queen Scout award and Explorer belt, as well as gaining the Duke of Edinburgh Awards (DofE), which can be done along side the Queen Scout award. If you'd like more information please contact us and we'll pass your enquiry onto the Exeter Network Leader.
